My Take: By Michael Boriero

How much information is too much information? This is a silly question, right? I guess coming from my position, I say give me all of the information; the good and the bad.
I understand that government’s might not want to reveal too much, too soon. There’s no need to stir the pot or cause unnecessary panic. But we never should have learned about the horrid state of our seniors’ homes after dozens of people died at the CHSLD Herron in Dorval.
What I think, and hope, the last six months has taught everyone around the world, and especially in Quebec, is that we all need to be on the same page rather than discovering the ugly truth when it’s too late.
The problem is I don’t think this will change. Unfortunately, people will always withhold information. We just need to continue pushing for more accountability.
