We’re in the middle of a second wave of COVID-19 cases, with numbers spiking daily, and I can’t tell whether people are confused by Quebec’s regulations or simply fed up.
I’m not going to lie, the messaging from the provincial government and Quebec’s public health authority has been suspect, especially over the last two months.
Our fearless leaders celebrated when cases dropped in the summer. But they knew about a potential second wave, right? Well, that’s what they had us believe.
And then September reared its ugly head and cases shot up. Now we’re in a 28-day challenge, the government’s supposed response, which seemingly changes rules on a daily basis.
Stay away from people outside of your bubble, but go to work and school. Close down bars and restaurants, but continue going to the gym. And now, Halloween is back on. Go figure.
