My Take: By Michael Boriero

My Take: By Michael Boriero

When I think of the holiday season, I think about my mother baking up a storm in the kitchen. There would always be hundreds of cookies in the house.
I think of my dad and I intermittently shovelling snow in our driveway and on our front steps. Maybe we head to the local outdoor ice rink, depending on the weather conditions.
I think of my sister and I binging movies. It was usually a movie my mother gave us as a stocking stuffer. And it didn’t matter if it was good or bad, we’d still watch them.
And I think of my cousins
coming over. When we were younger, we’d all huddle around my N64 after dinner, taking turns playing Donkey Kong or Super Smash Bros.
I find myself reminiscing a lot this year. Here’s hoping we can all be with our families next Christmas.
