My Take: By Michael Boriero

The format of a My Take is 150 words – no more, no less – to express an opinion on a different topic each week. This week’s topic was winter rain.

We often talk about January being the worst month of the Winter season due to its bitter cold and incessant snowfall, and that’s justifiably brutal, but February brings along its own challenges with inconsistent temperatures, rain, ice, sleet and grey skies.

It’s the final stretch. Spring is almost here. We all know it. And yet, it won’t make it any easier to look outside your window tomorrow morning only to see your car has been encased in ice. And just think about it, many of you may have even gone jogging at some point last week.

But this is February for you. It’s completely unpredictable. We’re supposed to get another pile of snow dumped on us, too. And just when I was getting used to seeing the pavement again. It’s a slog, there’s no doubt, but try to think about green grass, and warm weather.
