My Take: By Priscilla Allatt

My Take: By Priscilla Allatt

To be completely honest, I’ve never had to move so my personal knowledge on starting fresh is limited. Yet something I am familiar with is the concept of inviting new year-round residences to the neighbourhood. Not strangers, however, more so people who have owned the cottages beside me and who have now decided to retire in the country. Moving day in my book is not when strangers physically come with huge trucks carrying all their favourite life belongings, yet more when neighbours set up their construction plan to first demolish the cottage on their property and then construct a whole new home that will be livable year-round. So, even though I love my neighbours moving day is not my favourite event. For I must admit, the sound of construction when you’re trying to relax on a sunny summer day is not the most enjoyable experience.
