My birthday and my favorite holidays land in the winter, but what I really look forward to is when spring arrives and I come across my first caterpillar. It seems odd, but when I see a caterpillar, I think of change and transformation. The winter blues are a real thing; we tend to sleep more, eat more, couch potato a bit more. Then the snow starts to melt, the temperature starts to rise, and I immediately see a difference in how I go about my daily routine. I go from couch potato to hiking enthusiast, I replace my fries with freshly picked strawberries, I sacrifice sleeping for drinks on the terrace, the list goes on. Like the caterpillar, this transformation is slow, but when I saw one for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I knew it marked the beginning of good changes.
