My Take: By Taylor McClure

My Take: By Taylor McClure

When I was in CEGEP, my roommates and I would catch the bus and head to Cinema Guzzo almost every Wednesday for cheap night. If we didn’t have class that afternoon, we movie hopped for most of the day. I even asked for Guzzo gift certificates one Christmas to save money. While going to the movies with my closest friends is one of my all-time favorite things to do, I wouldn’t put it on my list of “Top Ten Pandemic Activities.” Premier Legault is giving movie theatres the okay to open up their doors during March break as he deemed it a place where social distancing can easily be done. How exciting; I can grab my roommate and go and catch a film, but I can’t drive 45 minutes to visit my family. Thanks but no thanks Legault, I’ll leave my ticket at the door.
