Is it just me, or is Christmas the cheese holiday?
I can’t think of a single memory that doesn’t have a tray of cheese and crackers in the corner of the room. Wait, let’s be honest, it’s front and centre, and we all know why.
No, not because we were all snacking.
Because cheese can never be left unattended in a home with dogs who are eye-level with the coffee table.
Yes, I did learn that the hard way.
I remember one year my grandmother arrived with a giant Cracker Barrel cheese ball.
After countless cheesy jokes, we dug in and immediately discovered the joy and wonder of the beloved ball.
At some point someone in the room wondered how they were made.
Challenge accepted.
The following year my grandmother showed up with the deluxe version. Cheese ball 2.0.
Christmas just isn’t complete without one.
