Nadeau Dubois, Massé call for anti-pipeline bill

Quebec Solidaire (QS) opened its pre-session caucus meeting in Sherbrooke on Wednesday morning with a commitment to oppose all future infrastructure projects in the province that focus on exploration or exploitation of hydrocarbons, as well as pursuing a ban on all future oil and gas pipeline projects.
“We’ve just lived through the hottest summer in our history,” said QS co-leader Gabriel Nadeau Dubois. “Climate change isn’t happening tomorrow, it is right now.”
Nadeau Dubois made the announcement accompanied by co-spokesperson Manon Massé on the shores of Lac des Nations, arguing that Premier Francois Legault is stuck in the past when it comes to matters of the environment.
