There’s something cooking behind the brown papered windows of the former florist shop at the corner of Speid and Queen Street in Lennoxville, and next week it will be ready to serve.
Bekkah’s Bakery (Pâtisserie Bekkah) will open its doors to the public on Thursday.
“It’s been in the works for about a year,” explained 24-year-old business owner Rebekkah Gallagher.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Gallagher, born and raised in Lennoxville, wanted to open her own bakery. Despite delays, she continued working on her plan with a different location in mind, but when the old florist shop became available, she jumped on the opportunity.
