New dog park has local tails wagging

By Matthew McCully

A new 28,000 square-foot dog park opened in Brome Lake last Thursday. Situated on the site of the former municipal garage, the new park is open daily between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. According to Ghyslain Forcier, media relations for the town, feedback from visitors has been positive since the park opened at the end of last week. The town had been looking at options for quite a while, but got serious around two years ago and put a plan in place. The park is divided into two different sections, Forcier said. A 22,000 sq.ft section is available for large dogs and a smaller 6,000 sq.ft section for dogs less than 40 pounds. See full story in the Aug. 20 edition of the Brome County News.
