The City of Sherbrooke broke ground Monday morning on the new fire station that is being built in the borough of Lennoxville. Planned in the same style as the city’s other new stations, the $3,270,000 facility is expected to be up and running by May of 2019. “The security of the population is a priority for the city of Sherbrooke,” said Mayor Steve Lussier, adding the ceremony marked an important day for the city. “The construction of this new fire station number six bears witness to that fact.” See full story in the Tuesday, September 18 edition of The Record.
