New Sexual Aggression Response Coordinator at Bishop’s University

By Emilie Hackett, Special to the Record – Bishop’s University recently welcomed the school’s new Sexual Aggression Response Coordinator (SARC), Dominique Pelletier. The SARC’s responsibilities include supporting survivors of sexual violence and building prevention and awareness programs about sexual violence. Originally from Quebec, Pelletier received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Oakland University in Michigan and a master’s in social work (Clinical Concentration) from the University of Texas at Austin. As explained by Bishop’s University’s Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Stine Linden-Andersen, Pelletier will be the first point of contact for disclosures of sexual violence, providing confidential advice, education, support and resources to survivors of sexual violence. She is responsible for the development, coordination and facilitation of awareness campaigns and workshops for faculty, staff, and students.
