Parkinson Estrie, the local organization dedicated to supporting those living with the degenerative neurological disorder known as Parkinson’s Disease, launched a new program on Friday afternoon to offer support caregivers. Based out of the headquarters of the community aid organization Sercovie in Sherbrooke’s Fleurimont Borough, Parkinson Estrie will offer free support meetings every second Friday between 2pm and 4pm to anyone feeling like they are overwhelmed by the task of caring for their friend or loved one.
“It could just be information they need, it could be problems they are facing, or we know that these people often face feelings of isolation,” said Jacques Huppertz, President of Parkinson’s Estrie. “Whatever the issue we are available.”
