The TBL Fire Department was called Sunday for a suspicious smell of oil in the area of Bondville Road near St. Jude in Bondville.
Councillor Lee Patterson, who also serves as a volunteer fireman, said a certain amount of oil had leaked from a reservoir into the ground and into Brome Lake.
