Ombudsman slams Argyll Pavilion for understaffing consequences

The Quebec Ombudsman has strongly criticized the CHUS’s Argyll Pavilion in a report tabled Friday, for leaving a resident untended for 36 hours in bed, for lack of staff. The Ombudsman noted, in particular, that there are "shortcomings in the quality of the practices on the CHLSD's regular units when understaffed and the frequency and recurrence of periods when care teams were incomplete also raises concerns."
