The Eastern Townships recorded 111 new COVID-19 cases, according to the latest numbers from the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS.
This brings the total of positive cases to 6,316. They also added five new deaths since the last update for a total of 107. The CIUSSS also added one hospitalization for a total of 39 and one person placed in intensive care for a total of three.
Quebec’s public authority declared an additional 1,897 new cases province-wide, bringing the total number of people infected to 169,173. They also administered 1,315 doses of vaccine yesterday for a total of 1,613.
The data also shows 43 new deaths bringing the total to 7,613 — 13 occurred in the last 24 hours. Hospitalizations increased by 16 for a total of 975 and intensive care patients increased by three for a total of 128.
