Patrimoine-Ascott-Heritage putting the finishing touches on a new virtual interpretation panel

After decades of hard work and countless hours of research and investigation, Bev and Milt Loomis are about to reveal the final piece of the Little Hyatt One-Room Schoolhouse puzzle, unlocking two centuries of local history for visitors to the area. On June 16, a new virtual interpretation panel (listening station) will be unveiled, featuring a lively bilingual audio track to walk visitors through 200 years of history, told from the perspective of the schoolhouse. The new panel was a project for the Canada 150 celebrations, which coincided with the 225th anniversary of the founding of the Township of Ascott. Due to unforeseen circumstances, completion of the project, scheduled to be finished last September, was delayed until now. See full story in the Wednesday, June 6 edition of The Record.
