Pedestrian struck and killed by suspected drunk driver

A 62-year-old man out for a walk with his dog on Sunday evening was struck by a vehicle near 957 de la rue des Jardins-Fleuris in Fleurimont. Both the dog and the man, identified as Royal Leblanc, are dead. The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old Sherbrooke man already known to police, was arrested at the scene. He is currently at the hospital, suffering from shock, according to Sherbrooke Police spokesperson Martin Carrier. See full story in the Tuesday, Feb. 20th edition of The Record.
