The Sherbrooke Phoenix are back in the win column following a 5-2 loss Sunday in Gatineau against the Canadian Hockey League’s top ranked Gatineau Olympiques. The loss to the Olympiques ended the Phoenix Franchise’s best 13-game winning streak.
Looking to bounce back while hosting the Baie-Comeau Drakkar on Wednesday night, it was the efficient work of the third line, who combined for eight points, that helped lead the Phoenix to a 7-4 victory.
“Our top nine are doing their job. They’ve all been performing and producing points for a few weeks. We want this depth and we need these guys to produce. The third line gave us rhythm throughout the game,” said head coach Stéphane Julien, who picked up his 250th career win in the QMJHL on Wednesday night.
