A 10-day break was just what the Sherbrooke Phoenix needed to get their heads straight following a rough stretch through November and most of December.
Following a 3-0 loss to Victoriaville on Dec. 17, the Phoenix appear to have focused on the fundamentals and regaining confidence in the locker room. On Wednesday, Sherbrooke faced off against Chicoutimi, defeating the Saguenéens 7-1 at the Palais des Sports Léopold-Drolet.
It was a revenge game for the Phoenix, as the last time the two teams played each other on Dec. 11, Chicoutimi emerged victorious by the same score. This time, however, Sherbrooke applied the pressure from the first puck drop. And the team had support between the pipes.
