The Sherbrooke Phoenix are heading to the Semi-Final round of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The local hockey team swept their series in the “Battle of 55” with the Drummondville Voltigeurs after closing out the series with a 5-2 win Wednesday night.
“Our team was resilient throughout this series,” said Phoenix head coach and general manager Stéphane Julien. “Our special teams were the difference makers.”
He said what he’s liked seeing from his team since the beginning of playoffs is how much time his team has been in the offensive zone.
“We’ve been physical and done a lot of things the right way. We have to give credit to our players. They’ve done an excellent job winning all eight games,” he said.
Now having to wait more than a week before their next playoff series begins, Julien axed the myth that too much time off can be a disadvantage.
