On Monday morning, Phoenix Captain Kaylen Gauthier and Assistant Captain Joshua Roy, along with mascot Onyx visited the Record office.

Members of the team also visited radio and TV sponsors. According to Gauthier, bonding with the community is very important for him and his team.

“It’s nice to be able to connect with them and thank them. It’s something we need to do, because they’ve been supporting us all year and we just appreciate that so much.”

The local hockey team is preparing for their first round playoff game against the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. The Phoenix will host the first two games of the series on March 31 and April 1. If needed, the Phoenix will also host Game 5 on April 7 and Game 7 on April 11.

After finishing the league atop of the West, Gauthier credited head coach and General Manager Stéphane Julien with building a special team.
