The CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS, the Eastern Townships’ regional health authority announced on Wednesday that Dr. Alain Poirier, who has been serving as the Director of Public Health in an interim capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic, will continue in that role for another year.
“His great expertise, his leadership and his communication skills mean that the Eastern Townships region is privileged to have Dr. Poirier as director of public health,” said Robin-Marie Coleman, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS in a press release accompanying the announcement.
