A joint taskforce from the Sherbrooke Police (SPS) and the Régie de police de Memphrémagog carried out a series of raids on Thursday related to the possession and sale of contraband tobacco and marijuana.
A search carried out at 265 Short Street in Sherbrooke based on information received from the public led to the arrest of four individuals, namely men aged between 31 and 56 years old. Three of the suspects were known to police. The individuals arrested face charges of Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling it, possession of illicit cannabis, sale of cannabis, sale/possession of contraband tobacco, and breach of parole.
