Police Tech students reward responsible drivers

Police Technology students from the Cegep de Sherbrooke were out at the corner of Portland and Clark Streets with representatives of the Sherbrooke Police (SPS) on Tuesday morning, stopping drivers for a different reason than usual. Whereas people are used to the idea of being pulled over for speeding, these officers in training were handing out presents to drivers who were at or below the speed limit. According to Simon Audet, one of the students, the SPS picked the Portland and Clark intersection because it is one where people are often driving above the speed limit.
