Charles Poulin, the Liberal candidate for the riding of Saint-Francois announced a plan to support local schools on Thursday morning. At a press conference held in his campaign headquarters on King Street East, Poulin announced an intention to ensure a new gymnasium for the École des Avenues in Fleurimont and to help ensure the construction of new and modern classrooms at the Louis Saint-Laurent school in Compton.
“It is important to take care of and improve our schools,” the candidate said, underlining the degree to which a school can be a pillar of the community and a sign of vitality, particularly in a rural municipality. See full story in the Friday, September 7 edition of The Record.
