The current Member of the National ­Assembly (MNA) representing the Saint François riding is Liberal Party member Guy Hardy. He is not running for re-­election. Since 2003, the riding has been Liberal, with the Parti Québécois coming in second with the exception of 2012, when there was a two-year period where the PQ won the ­riding. The Record asked the candidates of the riding four questions:
1) Why should voters choose you and your party in the upcoming provincial election?
2) What are the biggest issues currently by the population in your region?
3) How do you plan to represent the needs of Anglophones?
4) If elected, what would be your main priority as you begin your mandate?
