After five months of collective agreement negotiations that ended up in a stalemate, the SFPQ, Quebec’s public service workers’ union, has adopted a strike mandate for 1,500 members to walk off the job from provincial parks starting July 20. Coinciding with the construction holiday, the strike will affect Orford and Yamaska provincial parks, as well as 21 other parks across the province.
