The Quebec government is adapting and improving its information technology scholarship programs in an effort to encourage young women to complete their education in fields that are high in demand.
“The more graduates we have in these fields, the more we will be able to continue to distinguish ourselves in these rapidly evolving, cutting-edge sectors that are central to our lives,” said Higher Education Minister Danielle McCann.
Scholarships will be awarded to female university students enrolled in computer science, computer engineering and construction, as well as electrical, electronic and communications engineering. They will be eligible for a $3,000 scholarship starting next year.
