Quebec remains under 1,000 daily cases of COVID-19

The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19 in Quebec reports 900 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 279,887. According to public health, 260,245 people have recovered from the virus.There were 10 new deaths reported Thursday four of which happened in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths in the province now stands at 10,264. The number of hospitalizations decreased Thursday by 19, bringing the total to 747.  The number of patients in intensive care decreased by one to 129.  Quebec has received a total of 401,685 doses of vaccine, 302,118 of which have been administered so far.In the Estrie region 42 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, bringing the local total to 11,308. There were two deaths reported, for a total of 296 in the region. One happened at the Centre d’hébergement de Valcourt. The other was in the general population.
