Quebec reports 122 new cases of COVID-19

The province reported 122 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total in Quebec to 62,614.
In the Estrie region 14 new cases were reported, 13 of which were in Sherbrooke.
According to a press release from the CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS, of the seven areas currently under watch, five had no new cases in the last 24 hours.
The Lambton and Youville CHSLDs, as well as the Centre Saint-Michel, the BRP factory and the Les amis du Globe daycare appear stable for the moment.
École Quatre-Vents, however, reported five new COVID-19 infections and seven new cases were confirmed in the Ascot sector of Sherbrooke (near Mont Bellevue).
No new death has occurred in the last 24 hours, but 2 deaths which occurred between August 25 and August 30 have been added, for a total of 5,762 deaths in the province. The number of hospitalizations decreased by 2 compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 110. Among those, the number of patients in intensive care increased by 2, for a total of 20. The number of COVID-19 tests conducted on August 30, the last day for which data is available, amounted to 10,510 for a total of 1,673,913 tests done in Quebec.
