Quebec reports 582 new COVID-19 cases

The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19 in Quebec show 582 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected in the province to 69,670.
In the Estrie Region, 25 new cases were reported in the last day, bringing the local total to 1,641.
No new death occurred in the last 24 hours, but one death which occurred between Sept. 17 and Sept. 22 was added, bringing the total number of deaths in Quebec to 5,810.
The number of hospitalizations increased by six compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 184. Among those, the number of people in intensive care increased by one, for a total of 31.
The number of COVID-19 tests done on Sept. 22, the last date for which data is available, was 27,303 for a total of 2,164,247 tests in Quebec.
According to the Quebec Public Health Institute website, 59,943 people have recovered from the novel coronavirus.
