Quebec ­reports 86 new cases of COVID-19, one additional death

The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19 in Quebec shows 86 new cases, bringing the total number of infections to 61,402.
In the Estrie region seven new cases of COVID-19 were reported bringing the local total to 1,129. Of those, five were in Sherbrooke and two were in the Haut Yamaska area (including Bromont).
One new death was reported in Quebec linked to the novel coronavirus bringing the provincial total to 5,730, but the death did not occur in the last 24 hours. The precise date is unknown.
The number of hospitalizations remained stable compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 146. Of those, 25 patients are in intensive care, down one from the day before.
Quebec conducted 16,226 tests on Tuesday, that last day data was available, bringing the total number of tests done in the province to 1,510,782.
According to the Quebec Public Health Institute website, 54,383 people have recovered from the virus.
