Quebec still under 2,000 daily Covid cases

Quebec reported 1,502 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, bringing the total number of people infected since the beginning of the pandemic to 247,236, of which 219,592 have now recovered. This was the fourth day in a row the province has reported less than 2,000 daily cases.
The province has reported 66 new deaths, for a total of 9,208.
The number of hospitalizations decreased by 33 compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 1,467. Among those, the number of people in intensive care increased by four, for a total of 216.
The Estrie region has now reached 10,066 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with 92 new cases of COVID-19 reported Wednesday.
Four new deaths were reported, for a total of 238 in the region. One was from the hospital in Granby, one from BMP in Cowansville and two from Les Jardins de Pinecroft seniors residence in Magog.
