Quebec’s seniors minister tables new policy to revitalize long-term care facilities

Seniors Minister Marguerite Blais tabled the province’s first-ever policy on long-term care facilities Thursday, as part of the government’s efforts to create better living conditions and ensure quality of life for residents.
“We want the services and care provided in these facilities to be of high quality and to correspond to the needs, preferences, lifestyles, values and culture of the people who live there,” said Blais.
The seniors minister added the work that led to the development of the new policy is part of an overall effort from the government to provide all residents in long-term care facilities with superior care and services catered to their age.
