Hockey Sherbrooke has been forced to cancel several preseason games over the past two weeks due to a lack of referee personnel, and it appears the regional organization will be heading into the regular season missing roughly 25 on-ice officials.
According to Hockey Sherbrooke General Manager Stéphane Dion, the organization cancelled games on a number of occasions last year due to the referee shortage. But that was during the regular season, when there are between 50 and 60 games happening throughout a weekend.
