Representatives of the Army Navy Air Force Veterans in Canada (ANAF) Unit 318, the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal governments, and all three of Sherbrooke’s reserve units were in Lennoxville on Sunday afternoon to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings that are often hailed as the beginning of the end of the Second World War.
As is tradition in the community, a brief ceremony of remembrance was held including prayers for the fallen, the last post, two minutes of silence, and a laying of wreaths at the local cenotaph.
