Rendez-Vous d’Howard brings the 30s to life in Sherbrooke

By Gordon Lambie

The 18th annual Rendez-Vous d’Howard transported visitors to Sherbrooke’s Domaine Howard Park back in time this weekend. This year the history-themed festival chose to focus on the years leading up to the Second World War, Despite the fact that the time period stretching from 1929 to 1939 included the great depression, visitors to the site throughout the weekend had plenty of fun engaging with displays of antique cars, a sheep-herding demonstration, pony rides, artisans displays, tours of the local buildings, and a range of period-appropriate musical performances, among many other activities.Published in the Monday, Sept. 9 edition of The Record.
