The Richmond et ses jeunes committee is offering a limited number of free, daily cross-country ski passes to families in the greater Richmond area in collaboration with the Centre de ski de fond de Richmond-Melbourne this winter. The program, which is open to people from the municipalities of the Canton of Melbourne, Cleveland, Ulverton, and Kingsbury as well as to students who attend St-Francis school and who do not live in these municipalities, includes free equipment rental if needed provided by Centre de ski de fond.
“(The committee) was talking about what this winter is looking like and what it means for families, and it just feels like this is the year for anything that will get you outside,” said committee member Siu-Min Jim, explaining that it was the committee that reached out to the local ski club to propose the idea.
