Richmond inaugurates new drinking water source

Record Staff – After more than four years of work, the City of Richmond has inaugurated its new fresh-water well that will supply the entire population of Richmond and some residents of the Township of Melbourne for next 45 years.
Built at a cost of $800,000, the new well is located near the two wells that were, until recently, operating in the Township of Cleveland. The work of hydro-geologist Julie Gauthier from Laforest Nova Aqua, helped locate an abundant source of drinking water of exceptional quality in 2015.
