By Claudia Villemaire – Even though one could probably have fried an egg on the pavement, folks did turn out for the Canada Day parade here in Richmond on Sunday. Admittedly a smaller crowd showed up than usual, but those who did were of the general consensus that, this year, the parade was bigger and better than ever.
“Phew, it’s sure hot out here but that was a good parade!” said one onlooker, with another commenting that they missed the usual display of horses but understood it was far too warm for them. See full story in the Tuesday, July 3 edition of The Record.
