Richmond Regional reunion plans continuing on track

By Gordon Lambie

While 2022 was a year of mixed results when it came to event planning, Tina Pelkey said that her goal of welcoming back hundreds of Richmond Regional High school students for a reunion in the summer of 2023 is right on track.

“We have 110 former students confirmed and paid,” Pelkey said. “Our goal is 200-250, so we’re about halfway there.”

The plans that Pelkey has put together are consistent with what she was originally envisioning when speaking with The Record last spring: a multi-day event the first weekend in August that is open to anyone who attended or worked at the school between 1968 and 1980.

“You don’t need to have graduated,” the organizer stressed, sharing that she has had interest both from people who graduated outside of that timeframe and from those who dropped out.
