This past weekend a team of four students from Richmond Regional High School won the finals of the Kitchen Brigades, a provincial extracurricular program aimed at developing food autonomy, healthy eating habits, team spirit, leadership and creativity through the teaching of basic culinary techniques to students. Having advanced through local, the regional, and provincial level competitions to get to their spot-on top, team members Félicia Fredette and Savannah Mace said that they are still processing their success.
“The whole time it was surreal” Mace reflected, stressing the fact that the whole program was a big learning experience for both her and her teammates.
