Musical siblings Rick and Lulu Hughes don’t believe people should be limited to the top forty hits that play each week on the Radio. This coming Friday, February 22, the pair will be playing a show called “Hughes and Company” at the Granada Theatre that touches on all aspects of their musical lives, past present and future. “What we’re trying to do with this show is bring people together from different backgrounds and make them realize that music is music,” said Rick, explaining that the concert will be composed of three sections, covering the music he and his sister were raised on, the music they each individually produced in the 1980’s, and the things that inspire them and that they are writing together in the present day. “It’s everything from Zeppelin to Joplin, from Elvis to Aerosmith,” he said. “Everything’s there.” See full story in the Monday, Feb. 18 edition of The Record.
