Rock Island sewage treatment plant project delayed

Construction of the new sewage treatment plant in Rock Island has been delayed several months, and the more than $6.26 million government grant has been reset to reflect the new timeline. The plan began two years ago as a renovation project, but it turned into a rebuild, adding more costs. See full story in the Thursday, Sept. 12 edition of The Record.
