Amanda Rodgers Lallier and Justin Quirion from the swimming team have been named the Piper Athletes of the month for January at Alexander Galt High School. Rodgers picked up several points in the bantam girls category as she finished first in the 200 meter freestyle, second in the 50-meter butterfly and third in 50-meter freestyle. The 13 year old also helped her team to a first place finish in the team medley relay. The grade eight student has a great attitude and always works hard in practice, which is the main reason she is having some success in the pool.
