Santa Claus made a debut appearance in the Sherbrooke area on Saturday morning, arriving per tradition to great fanfare in the halls of the Carrefour de l’Estrie shopping centre. Perhaps discouraged by Friday’s snow dump, the crowds of families waiting to see Santa were smaller this year than in years past, although those who did turn out were treated to a variety of animations, activities and giveaways both before and after the arrival of the man and his entourage.
