By Matthew McCully – Sherbrooke’s elite figure skater Sarah Maude Blanchard is growing up fast. The Record has been following her career since she finished fourth in the junior provincials in Rivière du Loup at just 11-years-old. At the time, she said her dream was to compete at the national level. Seven years later, Blanchard has her sights set on the junior world championships. She is off to a good start this year, with a recent win at the provincials, held Nov.9-11 in Gatineau, where she competed as a senior. See full story in the Friday, Nov. 23 edition of The Record.
