On Saturday, September 22nd, beginning at 4 p.m. there will be a pig roast on the Brome Fair Grounds in the Village of Brome. The proceeds from the event will go to offset the costs of the athletic program on the English side of Massey-Vanier. Costs are going up every year and it is hoped that fund raising will help to keep the costs down so that any student who wants to join a sport will be able to do so. The entry fee is $15 for anyone 11 years old and up. Those ten years old and younger will pay $10. There will also be a silent auction, a cash bar, and the band “Double or Nothing” will play music to dance to later in the evening. This is a tasty way to help to support sports for the youth in our area. Published in the Tuesday, September 18 edition of The Record.
